 Hiroko Kudo
 
Born in 1982 in Japan. Hiroko has studied with Gerald Fauth, Joan Havill, Mikhail Voskresensky and Hidemitsu Hayashi and completed her Meisterklassenexamen course and the Konzertexamen course at the HMT Leipzig(Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy) in Leipzig, Germany. While in Leipzig, Hiroko won the Sachsen state government Scholarship and the Freundeskreis Post graduate overall scholarship awards.
 
She has also won several prizes at the national and the international piano competitions including the 3rd prize at the 17th International Piano Competition Rome in Italy, the 3rd prize at the 1st Michael Harding International Piano Competition in England, the Judge award first prize at the 31st Machida City Piano Competition, the award at the 12th Young Artist Piano Competition in Japan.
 
Hiroko has given solo, and chamber music concerts in Japan, Europe and Canada. She has also performed the piano concerto with the Philharmony Altenburg-Gera and and the Chamber Philharmony Leipzig and has participated international music festivals and master classes with teachers such as
John O´Conor, Sir Roger Norrington, Sergei Dorensky, Jerome Rose.
Last year she gave her solo recital at the Robert Schumann House in Zwickau for the Schumann year festival.
 
Hiroko completed her Master of Music degree at the Guildhall School of Music &Drama in London and her Bachelor of Music degree at the Toho Gakuen University of Music in Tokyo. She is currently studying with John Perry and David Louie at the Glenn Gould School of Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto where she won the full scholarship award as a fellowship student.
